Since incorporating Breckland Geomatics Limited, I have used the experience gained over the last 25 years to work on a wide variety of projects and aim to expand further by the use of aerial photography.
2019 - 2020: Bourne Parking - Site Engineer: Plumbing & aligning steel frame car parks in Cambridge and Reading. QA checks and as-built surveys.
2017 - 2019: Dover Western Dock Revival - Senior Surveyor: Working with VolkerStevin creating 2 new cargo berths, a new Marina and Pier. Establishing and maintaining primary site control, carrying out as-built surveys of existing structures, setting-up a GPS system for setting-out piles and using a UAV drone for ortho-photography, stockpile volumetrics and regular video updates.
2016 - 2017: Dover Sea Wall - Site Surveyor: Monitoring 700m of damaged sea wall. Installing & maintaining site control during repairs. As-built surveys of the new construction and UAV surveys of rock armour.
2015: Rivertside, Thetford - Site Engineer: Setting-out 3 storey "Met-frame" building. Checking concrete podium and as-builts of erected frame.
2015: 28 Chancery Lane - Site Engineer: Plumbing, aligning and levelling a 9 storey steel frame building. Working within construction tolerances and producing as-built information.
2014-2015: Hammersmith Flyover - Survey Manager for Principal Contractor during £60m refurbishment works. Establishing primary control, checking critical sub-contractor operations and installing replacement bearings to sub-mm tolerances.
2013: Gravesend Station - Installation of a new pre-cast platform in a safeguarded blockade.

2002 - 2013
2013: Aldgate Tower. A 17 storey office block in the City of London
2012-2013: The Leadenhall Building ("The Cheesegrater") in the City of London. A 52 floor (225m tall) skyscraper, main frame constructed in steel only. Establishing Secondary control ahead of the Principal Contractor and producing as-built information for the PC and Client.
2009-2012: Senior Site Engineer at The Shard of Glass at Tower Bridge, London. Western Europes tallest skyscraper. 87 floors of steel with a concrete core. Managing a team of Site Engineers and liaising with the Principal Contractor to provide ongoing surveys of the structure. Involved in the development of a bespoke method of controlling the installation of the spire.
2007-2009: Responsible for engineering the fabrication of the main steelwork for Heron Tower, City of London. A 46 floor skyscraper constructed in steel only. Achieving the fabrication tolerance of +/- 1mm. Engineering the roof, plant & lift steelwork above level 36.
2005-2007: Site Engineer in the City of London on various projects: "More London", "1 Coleman Street", "Aldermanbury Square".
2003-2005: Heathrow Terminal 5. Sub-structure engineer for the 3 storey basement of the main terminal (300m x 100m), rail box and roof nodes to accommodate the main roof.
Proficient in AutoCad (VBA), Leica total stations and Programming. (Visual Basic, Excel, HTML & Casio calculators).
